Balsamorhiza Sagittata 1, Ortus 10x14

Growing up I always loved when artists would paint or draw studies. To completely take in an object, be it a cloud, a backpack, a flower, etc., those pieces always fascinated me the most. In the Grand Tetons, we are surrounded by beautiful Arrowleaf Balsamroot flowers, also known as Balsamorhiza Sagittata. From The moment I first observed them a few years back, they quickly became one of my favorite flowers, along with a gentle reminder of the mountains.

This is a personal favorite from my own version of a study with these beautiful flowers.
