The rising sun’s rays pour over the horizon as clouds scrape the ground. Standing atop a small hill leaves one with the feeling of being adrift in a sea of gold and white. Birds of prey hunt in the morning haze, alighting softly atop the branches to observe their prey. As the sun creeps slightly higher into the sky, the clouds remain below, turning their edges a deeper gilded gold. Sitting quietly in the ocean of clouds, boughs of trees glow with the new day’s fog.

On days like these, the hilltops truly become Islands of Gold.
