Walking up the back of the Stairway to Heaven is a truly amazing journey. From the bottom of a valley, up one of the spine-like ridgelines of the Oahu’s mountains is both stunning and scary! Steep drop-offs and hard climbs provide the excited adventurer with the hike of a lifetime in one of the most beautiful locals in the world. Atop the mountain, ridgelines stretch out and down in every direction, like lines on a map they look as though it would be easy to walk along them. However, consistent rain and thick jungle vegetation would quickly buffet any passage to other peaks. While difficult, this hike is not for the faint of heart, nor the inexperienced.
